Individual
There are at least as many reasons to seek counselling as there are people on the planet. Perhaps you want to overcome the barriers of shame and secrecy? Maybe you’re searching for a way to make intolerable feelings more bearable? Perhaps you’re grieving a terrible past (or present) and want to reconstruct a more compassionate view of yourself and others in the here and now? Individual counselling can help with a wide range of concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, sexual identity and expression, relationship challenges, and traumas of all kinds.
Couples
People are built for connection, but relationships can be hard. Anger, deception, infidelity, miscommunication, resentment and host of other issues can wound an otherwise healthy relationship. Couples therapy can help cultivate lines of honest communication and transform destructive patterns of behaviour and past burdens that may have built up over time. While couples therapy is often about repairing and strengthening relationships in the midst or aftermath of a particular crisis it can can also help manage the challenges involved with separation and divorce, perhaps especially in cases where one or both partners have children.
